Mickey explained that we would be working through in categories. We started with clothes, then moved onto books, paperwork, then komono (miscellaneous) and finally sentimental.
She never rushed me and sometimes if I was unsure about an item, we would return to it later. If an item ever caught me by surprise emotionally, for example, Mickey would give me space and time to work through that emotion.
She has guided me through the journey with kindness, compassion and huge enthusiasm. Having our appointments booked ahead meant I was accountable and wanted to make good progress between our appointments.
I find that my home is calm, organised and a pleasure to spend time in. I no longer feel overwhelmed; I have fallen back in love with my home. I feel motivated to work towards my ideal life.
